It’s finally official! We’re leaving on Saturday morning. Everything seems a little surreal, I guess, but I’m deeply anticipating life in Korea (and delicious Korean food~) and meeting a lot of beautiful people.
I don’t really get homesick, though I’ve never been away from home for 13 months, so perhaps this will be a little different. I will, of course, miss the...

So we made the Chicago trip in less than 24 hours. 16 hours of those were a bus ride. At least 3 of them were walking around downtown Chicago. Probably half an hour was spent at the Korean consulate in total.
But it was still worth it! Chicago is beautiful.
We’re standing on a knife’s edge with this visa process. Our passports have to return to us by Thursday so we can book plane...

working on a departure date...
So from here on out, this is the TO-DO LIST:
1) obtain confirmation number from Korean immigration.
2) take the megabus to interview at Korean consulate in Chicago. prove we are neither insane nor ignorant, but rather magnanimous and altruistic souls who want nothing more than to bring the sparkling opportunities that English provides to the general Korean populace. also that we have $45.
